Managing director of Dandara (Scotland), Gavin Wyley, said: “We have been encouraged by recent improvements being seen in the property market and wider economy, which continues to show signs of recovery. The first phase alone will comprise 600 homes alongside parks, retail and community space but the development will ultimately comprise 7,000 homes spread across a series of new neighbourhoods sharing a new high street.

Recognised as an exemplar project by the Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative the scheme will lead to the development of a central hub containing amenities such as shops, offices and schools with detailed planning consents already in place. Property developer Dandara has confirmed that it is to proceed with 69 new homes as part of the first phase of Grandhome, a new community at Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don.
